Have a question
for Vurge?

Fill out the form below and we'll get your questions answered.
I plan to sell my vehicle in a couple of years. Will the coverage plan I purchase today transfer to a new owner later?

Absolutely. Vurge plans are fully transferable and make for a great selling point when you are looking to move to your next vehicle. What's the difference between a warranty and a vehicle service contract?

When you purchase a vehicle brand new you receive a warranty from the manufacturer. That manufacturer guarantees their parts with a warranty which pays for the labor and replacement parts when they break down. When the warranty runs out you can purchase a vehicle service contract, much like insurance, a 3rd party assumes the risk of a vehicles future breakdowns specific to each policy. In other words, different age of vehicles and different mileage qualifies for different levels of coverage, which pays for covered parts and labor. Are you affiliated with, or are you selling [various auto manufacturers] factory warranties?

We are not affiliated with any automotive dealers. As one of the largest direct to consumer policy sellers in the country, we are one of the top vendors of extended vehicle protection plans—not factory manufacturers. As such, our services step in when your vehicle's factory coverage expires. I'm pretty handy with engines and cars. Why do I need Vurge?

With the technology being used in today's vehicles it has become nearly impossible to work on your own car without specialized technical training and expensive diagnostic tools. As cars get smarter and safer they require more and more technology. As such, it's no wonder that even small- to medium-sized mechanic's shops are closing at an alarming rate—they just can't keep up with the technology. Buying Vurge ensures you don't have to pay for the up-to-date computer training required by today's automotive technicians. I own more than one vehicle. Can I put them on the same policy?

We may be able to cover as many vehicles as you own, depending on their make, model, mileage, etc. Some circumstances even qualify for discounts with multiple cars. The best answer to this question is to call in to speak with, or request a quote from, one of our specialists. They will be more than capable to assess your personal situation and provide you with the most comfortable protection available. I already have auto insurance. Why would I need Vurge?

Like auto insurance, Vurge protects against the unexpected, but it does this in a different way. Insurance covers your vehicle against the damage that might be received from a car crash or natural disasters, but they wouldn't cover normal mechanical breakage. If your transmission were to fail tomorrow, your insurance company wouldn't be able to pay for the replacement—but Vurge would. My dealer sold me a warranty with my car. Why do I need a new one?

The coverage you purchased with your vehicle has an expiration date, generally right about the time you need it the most. Dealerships will offer coverage to sweeten the deal when you are purchasing a new or slightly used car. But that coverage eventually expires, leaving you vulnerable to the cost of any future automotive repairs. That's where Vurge comes in—when the dealer's or factory's warranty won't cover you anymore, we will be able to provide the extended coverage needed for you to drive with security. Can I make a claim on my vehicle as soon as I hang up the phone?

No, in times of uncertainty we have found that some people abuse the system and purchase a service contract only after they have developed an issue on their vehicles. Unfortunately, because we can not cover what is already broken, all of our policies do carry a standard grace period.
